To my eye, this painting has an issue because the multi-line shapes have an irregular quality that puts them somewhere between a purposeful variation and an accidental one.
Iren paints temptation the way an architect draws an arch: every curve is deliberate, and every shadow knows where it leads. Her women do not pose for you. They decide whether to let you in.
